Ingredients
- 2-3 pieces of medium size onions
- 1 table spoon full of pepper paste
- 1 table spoon full of tomatoes paste
- 1/4 bunch parsley
- 1/4 bunch dill
- 1/2 bunch fresh mint or
- 2 table spoon dry mint
- 1 tea spoon black pepper
- Cumin, red pepper, salt
- 1 cup of rice
- 6 tea spoon sugar
- Olive oil
- Cabbage
Directions
Remove the covers of cabbage and wash it. Boil it in salty water until it softens enough.
In a different braiser, roast the onion in plenty of olive oil until it gets brown. Add the paste, salt and spices. Add the previously washed rice and continue roasting. Roast until the rice gives out its oil. Add sugar and more than 1 glass of water and cook on light fire until the water is evaporated. Chop the green spices in tiny pieces, add them in and turn off the fire.
Cut the cabbage leafs and prepare them for wrapping. Fill them with mixture, wrap them and lay them into the braiser. Lay some olive oil, garlic and mint over them. Add some water and cook on light fire.
