Ingredients

  • 500 gr / 17 oz / 1 pound steak fillet
  • 1 piece of onion
  • 1 piece of carrot
  • 2 table spoon of cognac
  • 3 table spoon full of orange juice
  • 2 tea spoon full of cappers
  • 2 table spoon full of butter
  • 1 tea spoon of mustard
  • 1 tea spoon full of ketchup
  • 1 tea spoon full of thyme
  • 1 tea spoon full of red pepper
  • 1 tea spoon full of black pepper
  • 1 tea spoon full of coriander

Directions

Add the butter into the pan. Add the diced white onion. Roast it until it changes color. Add the grated carrot and roast them. Add the mustard and ketchup. Add all of the spices, cognac and orange juice. Stir it and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the tiny diced cappers when it warms down.

Lay the steak fillet onto the grill or barbeque. At first grill it on high fire for a few minutes until both sides gets reddish. Then lay it over low fire for 5 minutes.

Lay the sauce onto the plate and place the fillet over it.
